Trà My
& Henry
One room. Two languages. Plenty of personality.
One room. Two languages.
Plenty of personality.
Trà My and Henry met during Covid in 2020. Their first date was a horror movie and Burger King at Henry’s apartment.
Their wedding felt very much like them: relaxed, personal, and full of laughter. From their vows to the speeches, there were plenty of stories that could only have come from the people who knew them best.
Everyone in the room.

A few things don’t translate word for word.
Henry’s best man, Ben, had known him for 18 years. His speech was full of stories and jokes, including a few that wouldn’t make much sense translated literally into Vietnamese.
The plan was to keep the important details and the humour, without interrupting Ben every few seconds.
A room that didn’t need much encouragement.
After the vows came family speeches, a first dance, and games that brought guests into the celebration.
Some moments needed a little guidance. Others were better left to happen on their own.
And that was the fun of hosting this wedding.
A first dance with personality.
